Students Activities & Achievements

Industry Institute Interaction (III's)

The Industry Institute Interaction Cell plays a vital role in arranging industrial visits,In-plant training and in inviting industry experts for guest lectures.

Industrial visit

• Industrial visits are arranged regularly for students to fill the gap between theoretical learning and industrial practice.
• A minimum of two industrial visits are arranged per academic year to have exposure in industry practices.

In plant /Internship training

• In-plant trainings, internship is provided for students to get industry exposure.
• At the end of every semester, the students are motivated to undertake in-plant training andinternship programs in industries to acquire practical knowledge about current technologies.
• Student internship programs are encouraged every year to enhance their independent learning.
• Through the internships, students learn the working culture of companies and have a more mature understanding of the needs of the employers.

Industrial Expert visit

• Students &Faculty members aretrained by industry experts from NI, IBM, RedHat, CISCO etc. to conduct enrichmentcourses to students.
• Institution invitesindustry experts to visit department labs and check for the possible collaborative works.
• The students and faculty get to interact with the industry expertsin person through these initiatives.

MoUs are signed with leading industries to improve Industry Institute Interaction.

Student Chapters

About CSI

The Computer Society of India is the first and the largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a handful of computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals. Its membership stands at more than 50,000 in more than 60 chapters throughout India.

Membership

The Society is targeted at the IT professionals and also user community at large. Hence the membership of the Society is open to all professionals involved in the field of information technology. The membership categories include Individual and Institutional. In the Individual member category there are five grades namely Fellow, Senior, Member, Associate and Student, whereas Institutional membership includes organisations and educational institutions. A professional can also apply for life membership in the Society.
